I also wish Raspberry Pi has USB 3.0 port so that I can attach a USB 3.0 based SSD card. Another potential point is if a SD card is good device to store a lot of data. But since I do not copy files over too often, there will be much less read/write operations on the card compared to, say a DSLR, so I guess it could be OK.
